Introduction to New Dawn And A Selection Of Photos From 2004 + Trip From France To Italy, Greece and Turkey.

"New Dawn" is a Hallberg-Rassy 53 build in Sweden which we bought in the USA in June 2003 and on 05 November 2003 we sailed her from Long Island to the Caribbean where we spend the winter of 2003-2004 sailing from St. Martin down to Grenada and back north to Antigua.

For Hallberg-Rassy see: http://www.hallbergrassy.com/

After having spend the winter in the Caribbean, we left Jolly Harbour, Antigua, on 05 May 2004 for Bermuda and on to the Azores for a change of crews, before heading for the Med, where we visited Spain, the Balearics and France, where we houled out in Port Napoleon in September.

Early April 2005 we launch New Dawn and sailed to Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily and on to Greece, ending up in Yalikavak Marina, close to Bodrum, Turkey.

In 2006 we sailed from Yalikavak to Istanbul and back south to visit the complete Turkey coast to Kemer, close to Antalya, as well as visiting many more Greek Islands.

In 2007 we joined the East Med Yacht Rally (EMYR) http://www.emyr.org/ where we visited the rest of the Turkey south east coast, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, before heading back to Turkey via Cyprus.

New Dawn has sailed close to 18.000 NM during the last 4 seasons.
